Usually around this time of year I start to get a little down. I blame it on the Pacific Northwest weather that this region is famous for. In fact, a couple of years back I went to the see my doctor for an explanation for my new found, frustrating lack of energy/enthusiasm. She said I was suffering from Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD...nice acronym, right?)
Anyhow, one thing I've always known about myself is that my mood (whatever it may be) affects my day(s).
This is not always a good thing...
Therefore, I'm feeling the need to welcome as much positivity in my life right now as possible. Believe me, I know that I have A LOT to be thankful for. That has certainly never been the issue, but I do tend to focus on what I don't have and I have a tendency to compare my life to the lives of others I know (who happen to have a lot more money than us). Again, not a good thing...
So, I am making the conscious choice to be more positive. Each time I blog I want to post at least 3 positive things I've done that day/week or am feeling.
So here we go- positive thoughts/actions for today:
1. I got an extra day off work to lounge about in my jammy's with my hubby and son.
2. I ate a very healthy lunch and breakfast today.
3. I've received about 45 kisses from Jake today (those negate the fact that he puked in my hair earlier this morning...)
4. I've got some ideas about how to fix-up/decorate the office when Mom comes out in March.
....let the positivity flow!

Positivity is good - and the best way to get things done! I have a few really good inexpensive ways to fix up that room too. Together we can make it happen! Wish I had a way to bring all the things I find, but thats not going to happen - just have to look in Roseburg.
Keep smiling.
Mom
That is one of the MAIN reasons I left Portland! I couldn't stand that blanket of grey!
You hang in there!
We'll chat this weekend and you can make your first feature film!! Just get some videos together that we can edit! Also, pick out a song or two to add to it.
SAD-Serious, I think I have a case of that too. I hate this time of year....it just plain SUCKS! Obvisouly I need to come up with some positives too haha!
