A Jake Update

My little guy is so cute. Seriously. He is cute. But wait, don't all parents think their own children are cuter than all others?? Oh well, I still think he is pretty dang cute nonetheless.

Since Sophia's arrival Jake has been a very curious little boy. He loves to look at his sister. He loves to touch his sister's head. He loves to give his sister kisses, and he loves to push her when she is in the swing.

He will come bursting into our bedroom early in the morning (with Daddy's help, of course) and run directly to her bassinet to peek inside. Yes, he is very curious about this little package Mommy came home from the hospital with.

All though at first, he wasn't so sure...

But since, he has grown to love her...

Jake will be 16 months old in two more days. I can't believe it! He is so much fun to be around at this age, but his energy level is exhausting. My son no longer walks, he runs. He screams. He cries. He whines. He has entered the Terrible Twos a bit early. But he also laughs, those deep belly-laughs that I really must capture on video. He gives phenomenal kisses. With tongue. A lot of tongue. I hope he refines his technique before his teenage years. He hugs. He snuggles, if only for a moment. He is curious. He LOVES the cats. He makes a touchdown signal with his arms on command, and he is quite the little talker. He will tell you that a cow says Moo, and a monkey says E.E.E.Ah.Ah.Ah. He can also say about 20 other words, and he LOVES to be given special jobs...he is quite the little helper. He is also currently having a love affair with cars/trucks.

Ahhh, parenthood. I am absolutely over the moon for my babies and am in heaven. It's funny how life's priorities change when there are little ones to consider first. I would absolutely not have it any other way!

I loved having my girls so close together like yours. I think it makes for so many special memories and moments.

Oh Jake, I don't think your cuteness meter is too biased to work :) He is cute!
