Spring Break 2009

For Spring Break this year, Mark and I were able to treat my family to a week long trip at the coast. That meant only 1 1/2 hours of travel time for us, which is perfect in my very pregnant state.

Anyhow, Ryan flew in from Dallas, Mom and Dad drove from Utah, and Tim and Jonathan flew in from Utah.

We stayed in the beach house that Mark and I were married in last May in Bandon. Our week was truly exceptional. We had sun and 60+ degree weather the entire week (with one rainy day exception). This amazing weather is unheard of this time of year on our coastline. We truly lucked out. The beautiful weather allowed us to do many fun things:

We went to the wild life animal park:

We went to the Sea Lion Caves in Florence:

We played and walked on the beach numerous times and saw seals sunning themselves on nearby rocks:

We made lots of yummy food and played board games and video games:

Mom and I scrapbooked, and of course, I had to do homework. In fact, this was the only bummer of the trip for me. However, I brought along my laptop, which we all enjoyed using, and I actually received a superb grade from my professor on the paper I constructed while there. Kudos to me! (And only 2 weeks left for the semester...hallelujah!)

Mark and I are so grateful that we were able to provide this trip for our family.

And here's a little video of the beach on one of the beautiful days I mentioned-a little piece of the Oregon Coast just for you:

We all enjoyed the trip and thank you very much. Maybe we should make it an annual (well - maybe semi annual) place to gather. It was great fun and VERY relaxing.
Thanks so much.
Beautiful pictures.
Love,
Mom
Dad
Tim
Jonathan

Okay, so I've officially added the Oregon Coast to the list of places I must go before I die. So beautiful.

It's great to see an updated pic of your family. I've heard such great things about the Oregon/Washington coast. Your pics definitely show that. Glad you had a nice spring break.
