Cankles

Yup, cankles are now a part of my reality. I must say that this particular pregnancy feature is not attractive, nor comfortable. My midwife is suggesting prescription support pantyhose...sigh, there goes the hopes of wearing capris and shorts until Jake arrives. I miss seeing my ankle bones!

On a happier note, we drove to Portland yesterday to pick Ryan up. We are heading over to Bandon for the week of Spring Break and are staying in the beach house we were married in last May. My family, sans Jessica, is meeting us there.

We stopped at Babies R Us while we were up North. My feet, having not been used during the 3 hour drive, had swollen up beyond recognition. However, when we pulled into the Babies R Us parking lot, I squeezed them back into my shoes (I felt like Cinderella's step-sister trying to squeeze my foot into a shoe two sizes too small for me). After all, I have been waiting for quite a while to immerse myself in this baby mecca. I was not disappointed with the store; overwhelmed yes, but not disappointed. We got all registered and even finished our registry at Target.

Baby Jake is due to arrive 3 months from today.

I know it's no comfort to you whatsoever, but I am going to gloat and say that I was not blessed with cankles during either of my pregnancies ... and I'm not even a little bit sad about missing out on them!

Sorry you are experiencing what sounds like an oh-so-fun part of pregnancy. But only three months to go - wow, that has gone fast!

Yep cankles, one of the negatives of being pregnant. Hang in there, I promise they go away....well in most cases :)

Cankles. You crack me up! BTW, I pulled out the "green jello" bar of soap the other day and had a good laugh. Thanks for keeping me laughing!
