We stopped at our favorite organic cafe in Umpqua, ate fresh blueberry and banana chocolate chip muffins, drank hot coco, and purchased a loaf of rosemary sourdough bread to enjoy at home. We took our time and meandered the back roads, stopping only when we wanted to take a picture. It was one of those leisurely drives with no pressure for time or other commitments. It was perfect!

We decided to stop by Camp Millennium's Pumpkin Patch on our drive and begin a yearly tradition of doing this with Jake. This particular pumpkin patch is a fundraiser for children with cancer (emphasis on fundraiser...I think our pumpkin wound up costing $8.00, but at least the proceeds go to an incredibly worthy cause). There was a multitude of activities for children to partake in: punkin chunkin, train rides, carriage rides, a stroll through Santa's village and the Lollipop Forest, a maze to find the Easter Bunny, games, and food- just to name a few!
And though Jake was too young to enjoy all of the activities (okay, most of them) we've convinced ourselves he had fun anyway...after all, we did!

How fun! Looks like a great tradition to start with Jake. I'm sure he had a marvelous time and will want to go again and again!

Love it! The pumpkin patch with Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc., sounds great! And even though you didn't see all the fall colors, the photos you posted here are beautiful.
Cute pumpkin carriage. I agree with Cami, pretty cool that Santa was there. Now you don't have to stand in line at the mall to get his pic:)
