Concert: Taj Mahal & Keb Mo

As promised, here is a post on the Taj Mahal and Keb Mo concert that we went to in late June (I know, I'm a slacker, but this is the most time I've had to actually sit and write). The concert date was June 26 to be exact at the Cuthbert Amphitheatre in Eugene. Now I had previously seen a concert at this venue before (thank you Floydian Slips) and had even seen Keb Mo in concert (he performed at Roseburg's Music on the Half Shell last summer). However, prior to this show, I had never seen Taj Mahal perform. I am hooked on this musician...Mark has seen Taj numerous times in the past and is a huge fan. We went up with friends of ours and had a fantastic evening.
See, here we are having a fantastic evening....

Our night started with dinner at The Steelhead and ended with some fabulous tunes. I liked Keb Mo when we saw him last summer and now, I am proud to admit that I would call myself a Taj Mahal fan. This concert was upbeat, fun, filled with great lyrics and beats, and Mark and I even danced in the isles.

Taj started out in 1968 playing with John Lennon, Eric Clapton, and the Rolling Stones in their Rock and Roll Circus Show. He has been playing ever since; this year marking his 40th anniversary of touring.

Keb Mo is another amazing blues artist and he and Taj complemented each other wonderfully. He has a great song called Shave Yo Legs. I stronly recommend listening to this song as it is my new "anthem" if you will. I am in love with the song's lyrics and anxiously await the day for Mark to serenade me with this song. :)

I tried downloading videos of both musicians to entertain you a bit more in this post, but for some reason, my videos wouldn't download :( So, I'll have to post pictures instead!!
