This is one freaky looking creature:
It reminds me of a pale, slimy looking grasshopper crossed with some other type of insect. It was about 2 inches long, and it moved through our dying (okay, dead) lawn rather fast. Needless to say, knowing that this large, creepy "thing" lurks within our yard freaked us out. Does anybody what this thing is???? Have you ever seen one?

Okay, that thing is UGLY ... and creepy! What are you doing crawling around in the grass close enough to see this thing? Yuck!
Hmm.... No, I don't know what it was. Actually, I have to agree with Mandi. Who got close enough to take the picture?
Well, we were both out there to be honest. The camera is on zoom, but we were still close to this freak of nature.
Remind me not to walk in your lawn barefoot!
