3 Months Old!

I can't believe it! Jacob is 3 months old today. He is weighing in at 16 lbs. and is 25 inches long. My little baby isn't so little anymore. He is smiling all of the time and laughing. Today, in fact, he was on the changing table and laughed a deep, belly laugh. I was so excited I cried. Yup, he moved me to tears. And yes, I marked the date of his first deep, belly laugh on the calendar.

Our boy is always smiling while on the changing table. We've decided that he simply enjoys having a clean bum.

He seems to be a rather mellow baby. I can seriously take him anywhere without him fussing. He is rather happy unless he can't burp or is hungry.

He is holding his head up more and more and just about has that down. He also enjoys standing on our laps. (Personally, I just think he likes to show off his beefcake thighs). He also drools. A lot. He also farts. A lot.

Jake is sleeping through the night and has been for about a month now. I have an awesome nighttime routine and we bought something called the Miracle Blanket. I HIGHLY recommend this item. Go buy it. NOW. You need one for your future children. This beautiful $30.00 investment has bought us a month's worth of 8+ hours of continual sleep at night. Nope, I'm not kidding or exaggerating. Seriously, he slept for 11 hours last night. Visit www.miracleblanket.com to see what I'm talking about. It really works. (Just for your curiosity, I am not a paid spokesperson for this company. Too bad. I'd go on T.V. to convince someone to buy it...kickbacks would be nice, too).

The perfect accompaniment to this post would be some lovely photos of our boy. I have a million of them. Poor kid hasn't gone a day of his life without a camera flash going off in his face. I also have a plethora of videos of him. I think everything he does is video worthy. (Typical annoying first time Mommy....I know). But he's so darn cute, I can't help myself! The problem is this: all these beautiful pictures and videos are stored on my camera or handycam. I haven't downloaded them to my computer. Why? Because our hard drive is almost full. Full of what? Well, older pictures and videos, of course! Mark also keeps about a trillion music files on the hard drive for his Music History class. Until we resolve the lack of space on our hard drive, I'm afraid those pics. and videos that I desperately want to show you will remain where they're at. Frozen. Un-viewable by you. Bummer.

I guess you'll just have to take my word about how cute and chubby he is...

Well I can certainly agree that our baby is plump and happy all the time! And, yes, the Miracle Blanket is great - unless grandma wraps him up - then he knows he can escape and is just so proud of himself in the morning!
Love you, Jake!
