Surprise #1- As I was digging out a large bowl to mix this morning's pancake batter in, I discovered a rather gigantic spider in the bowl. This spider was not noticed until the bowl was within a few inches of my face after I had unearthed it from a stack of mixing bowls not often used.
Not a good surprise!
I was surprised, however, (this is not Surprise #2, more like an added bonus to Surprise #1) that the bowl did not shatter upon discovery of said gigantic spider.
Surprise #2- My professor asked me to share my first paper from this new course I'm taking with the rest of the class as a model to follow when writing papers. Good surprise!

Yeah! Surprise #1 wouldn't be my favorite. I'd probably throw the bowl up in the air then fall trying to get away! See, there is always a reason why I fall.
I'm not the least surprised about the professor wanting to use your paper. You are a very talented young woman.

Surprise # 1 would have made me throw up all over my newly broken dish.
Surprise # 2 would make me beam with joy.
Since neither surprise happend to me, I will just say EW!!! and I am very proud of you!!!
