Not Feeling So Down

Okay, I have come out of my funk for a little while, at least. I'm out long enough to blog about our Halloween party. This is the 4th year we have gone to it, and the 3rd year I have helped throw it. The party is always at Guy's house and is usually really crowded. This year's party must have been on a bad day, because we didn't have the usual turnout but it was still fun and the weather was great! Mom was here at the time helping us work on the house, but she opted not to go. (I think we worked her a bit too hard and she was tired).

Anyhow, here we are in this year's costumes:

We actually won first place again this year, but we chose to forfeit the prize and give first place to someone else. It gets to be awkward to win at your own party...especially 2 years in a row.

Mom was quite busy when she was here. She painted our kitchen table and put up baseboards. Baseboards are a rather difficult task with an uneven floor....grr!

Here's our new table: (note the baseboard in the background)

So things are starting to come along with the house, but it feels like the tasks will never end. These are the joys of homeowner-ship???

Groovy costumes! You guys look pretty good. And the table looks awesome! Good job, Kris!
