Okay, I just sat in my doctor's office for over an hour waiting to meet the man who is going to slice me open. Yup, you heard me correctly, MEET the man. I've only been seen by the midwives to date, but it's the doctor himself who performs the c-sections. Therefore, before the pre-op, I am supposed to meet him.
I had an appointment last week to meet him, but he was out sick. I was supposed to see him today, so the first question I had when I checked in was, "The doctor is here today, correct?" He was indeed there, but after being checked in and waiting the hour as I mentioned above, an assistant came in to tell us that she was really sorry, but the doctor had just been called out for an emergency. If he'd seen us on time today, I would have actually been able to SEE him.
I am T.I.C.K.E.D! I understand the surgery, I really do. But at the same time, I am ANGRY that he hasn't been available 2 weeks in a row during my appointment time. I am a high risk pregnancy. This is my first baby. I am anxious, I have questions, I am due in 2 1/2 weeks and I would like to meet the doctor who is going to slice me open. I need to have confidence in this man. So now, I have to take another half-day sub this week. This time on Thursday in the morning so I can work with his schedule. Excuse me, but this does not seem right to me. I am so mad I could spit nails!

That really sucks. Can you get a new doctor? Even with just 2.5 weeks left, it's not like this one has invested any time or anything....
Wow. I would be quite irritated myself. Crap like that sets me off big time. Especially the waiting an HOUR to meet him!! Where was he during that time?
hang in there. In 2.5 weeks you are going to have an amazing little man in your arms who will make you forget all about this experience! (for a bit anyway!)
