1. It will grow back before the baby is even born
2. Drainage could cause preterm labor
Both of these reasons are valid, and I understand why it shouldn't be drained. I was disappointed, however, that my pain could not be relieved. He said that with almost 100% certainty, once I deliver I won't hurt anymore. To be sure, he scheduled me for 6 weeks out to go back up to his office and have the cyst examined again.
**There is only a week and a half left of work before summer break!
**Only 2 weeks to go before baby arrives!
**We made major progress on the baby's room this weekend. Everything (minus a few details) is done! We even got the car seat installed in the car. We are just about ready for baby and I'm feeling very, very good about things. :) The remaining details include projects like hanging pictures, finding a floor lamp, packing the hospital bag and deciding what outfit to bring him home in.

Emily, I don't know how you are still standing upright! From the looks of you, I think Jake wants out as much as you want him out!
Glad things are going well and hope the pain from the cyst isn't too bad for the next 2 weeks.
I'm looking forward to meeting the little? guy.
Mom
You are all baby. Without that belly you're still so small. Best of luck in the coming weeks!
You look amazing. I'm jealous of your pregnant bod. My babies don't stick out very far, but all my baby weight goes in my butt and my arms. LOVELY. It's much harder to lose - at least, that's my excuse.
Oh, and I read the comment you left on Mandi's blog about breastfeeding. And I read Mandi's reply. Not all of us are so lucky as to have no pain - even when the baby is latching on correctly. To me, the worst thing about it was that in the first days, when the baby sucks it makes you produce some hormone that causes your uterus to contract and shrink. That crampy feeling was the most painful part. Just take full advantage of the lactation consultant that the hospital has on hand - and Lansinoh cream is WONDERFUL if you get chappy or sore.
Best of luck to you in the coming weeks!
