I had a productive day today, and it was relatively pain free! I actually met my doctor this morning and am feeling more relieved. My blood pressure was up today, which is not a good thing for me, but when I checked in this morning, I said to the gals, "He is here, right???". They responded with, "No. He's actually in a delivery, but we've paged him and hopefully he's on his way". (I'm pretty sure this is when my blood pressure spiked). Anyhow, it all worked out and he wound up coming to the office for my appointment. He is curious to know how things go at the urologist tomorrow. He believes they will drain my cyst right then and made a point of telling me that in all of his years of practice, he has never seen a cyst this large. (Great, yeah me).
I attended the Golden Apple ceremony tonight and I was so wrong about how it would all go! Everyone received a Golden Apple and we were each presented by our principals who had to give mini speeches about us. The whole event was really beautiful and the fresh fruit and cake were delicious! My only complaint is that it was 92 degrees today and the country club did NOT turn on the air conditioning! By the time it was my turn I was a big sweaty mass of dress and hair...I was not feeling particularly attractive. It made me very glad that Jake will arrive SOON and not at the end of the summer!!
